How to set boundaries
It’s essential for great leaders to set healthy boundaries. This lesson offers different ways to think about creating a “Goldilocks” boundary around your mind, body and soul – one that’s not too big, and not too small. Step one, know thyself. Step two, create agreements, not expectations by letting others know what your boundaries are and negotiating around that.

For Discussion
What are your boundaries like right now? In general, do your boundaries tend to be too big, too small, or just right? Do you struggle with boundaries in any given area (mind, body, or soul)?

For Experimentation
This week, try to create clearer boundaries around your energy. What could you do to be more clear with yourself and others around who can have access to you energy tank and when? Or perhaps how can you pay yourself first?
Extra credit: Have a discussion with your team at work around boundaries and do the same exercise with everyone to help create some shared agreements around boundaries between work and life outside of work.
